Personalized NFL Gift Ideas

I am not going to write about some lame football fan gifts ideas, that you know you thought of before. I want to give the crème de la crème, the gift ideas that make being a fan of the great sport worthwhile. At the end of the day if your friend loves football you know these gifts are going to make him enjoy the game that much more.

Granted these gifts ideas can be scaled down to the right price range or get them ‘tailor made’ but it’s just to get the juices flowing and to make sure that you don’t short change your friend when you get them their gift.

The great thing about sports gifts is none of them are really just for you friend. If you are smart you will get them something that you, your friends and the whole group of friends can enjoy. It’s not about benefiting from your friends gift to justify getting a gift. Rather football fans want to celebrate and enjoy the game together with friends. It’s all about sharing the memories down the road.

The first one is a given, cause every football fan wants to see the game live, so why not hook them up with season tickets. Now that’s not so original but it’s what you do with the season tickets. You got to make sure that on their birthday you get them up on the jumbo-tron or the big screen wishing them happy birthday. Season ticket holders are always privy to certain special events make sure you tack on one of those too!

The next best thing to being at the game is watching it with your buddies in your crib. Who wants to watch the game on a dinky screen? You want to get a big screen television. Now I ‘m not talking big I’m talking huge the screen that shows you the rain falling down on the ball as the punter kicks it away. I’m talking big like when you get outside you thought it was raining too! But that just another lame idea that anyone could get your friend. You want to go the extra mile? You need to hook him up with the HD recorder too.

Now some people like to see the nice crisp box and open it all up fresh as can be. I say open that box for them and add some highlights from your favorite football team. If you really want to go the extra mile get the television screen customized with the team’s logo.

Sometimes it not about being with a crowd of supporters, sometimes it’s about going into to the lion’s den and rooting for the team you love and showing your team some love when they need the most. The only way you can make it happen for your friend is tickets to the road game. I’m talking about a road trip. Make sure you got the tail gate in full effect with the right car, all the tools and the fixins’ to make it an experience of a lifetime.

Now maybe they have all of the above and maybe you need to get a little more creative, buts it’s not that difficult. Framed memorabilia is the way to go gram some of his football cards and some cool photos online and put together something that hangs right next to the pennant.

Everyone good football fan wants to claim they know their team’s history and with the internet you can look it up in now time. There is really nothing like reading about the highlights and the greatest moments of your team when they happened. To feel the energy form the words that were written about the moments in time is better than anything short of experiencing it live. Get them the personalized NFL team history book and you can look at old pictures and read all the greatest moments as they happened.

Of course there are plenty more gifts out there and you can spend hours looking for them but go with simple and what works for a football fan.

How about those Green Bay Packers!

How about those Green Bay Packers!

Yes, I am excited as a sports fan and lover of history. My team , the Green Bay Packers are undefeated at 7-0 under the leadership of Quarterback Aaron Rodgers who has turned out to be the number one quarterback in the NFL.  The Green and Gold are moving forward to break a lot of records and I hope take down the Mighty Miami Dolphins who went undefeated in 1972.

Watching the game last Sunday was a bit tense at moments but provided much excited and never a dull moment. Now the packers are  up against the San Diego Chargers this Sunday.  I am looking forward to watching an epic battle of quarterbacks between Aaron Rodgers and Phillip Rivers.

Browsing through our product line of  unique sports gifts at Anydate.com one can revisit some great moments in history from anyone of your favorite NFL teams as well as other sports. For me personally, picking up the History of the Green Bay Packers through the pages of the NY Times can be a journey through the up and downs and exciting moments of my favorite team. Just remembering the stories of Bart Starr, the down years of David Whitehurst and the exciting Sunday that Lynn Dickey gave us still, resonates today when I share those stories with my oldest son.

My oldest and only son  Ben, not 10 years old, is in a flag football league similar to what I experienced as a kid in the Milwaukee neighborhood leagues on the Northwest side of the city. The league place me on the “Minnesota Vikings” team even though I was a Green Bay Packer diehard which at first was uncomfortable but after we started beating our opponents and it felt pretty good. Seeing my son running patterns, going deep, and ripping the flags off opposing players is something that  makes me proud and reminds of those afternoons playing flag football myself.

It is nice to see the love of Football carry over another generation and being able to support a team that is 7-0 and looking pretty good. Good luck this week Green and Gold!
