Gifts for Baseball Fans

You know it’s time to buy that Baseball fan a gift when the birds are waking you up way too early in the morning. Many of you know that feeling when you are in that light sleep and you know it could last a good hour but those darn birds start chirping and there is nothing in the world that can block the noise out. If you are already aggravated about the change of season, don’t be for gift shopping. Here are some great baseball fan gift ideas.

Baseball fans enjoy probably the most stat heavy sport ever. There are so many statistics to keep track of that at the stadium they sell these huge booklets at each game to keep track of just one game’s stats. There is nothing simple about the game and the gift you get them should not be simple either.

I remember watching the Montreal Expos back in the day, sitting in the bleachers. It wasn’t so bad because the stadium wasn’t so big. No matter where you sat it was a pretty good view. Towards the end of the Expos existence you could buy bleacher tickets and literally walk to the top of the dugout and watch the game from there. If you are dealing with a real baseball fan in the house get them some season tickets but don’t cheap out and put them way out in the bleachers so they have to use binoculars.

If you are thinking about the hubby and you want to make him happy but you want some alone time with him, plan a classic road trip. Of course make sure to plan it so the hubby can catch a game at least once on the road. You know he is going to talk your ear off trying to explain the game to you. Of course there is a whole set of new stats when it comes to road games that you must understand to really enjoy the game.

One of the gifts that I like to call “cute” is the memorabilia stuff. You can get some cool stuff out there but anyone can buy that and then put it into storage. The one that stands out for me is a classic framed picture of the team’s locker room. Now that doesn’t seem that special but the one I saw had the all-time greats of the team and among them was digitally changed jersey with their friend’s name on it. That’s cool because most fans feel like they are a big part of the game, just ask anyone from Atlanta.

The last one fits the bill on two fronts and that is the New York Times Baseball Yearbook. One the one hand it has all the historical articles and pictures of the favorite team of choice. I mean what can be better than that. The fact that you can personalize this book makes it over the top. It will also open his eyes to a whole new world of historical stats.

You know that there is a lot out there and there are some tough choices to make but if we are talking about a game filled with stats go with the gifts that with give them the stats they want.
