The Anydate.com Story - A Commitment to You
Our mission is to provide you with unique, personalized historic gifts for all occasions.
Through products such as our birthday newspapers, we are lucky to be part of so many special occasions -- from the birth of new children to honoring the 100th birthday of amazing people across the United States.
We have worked hard to maintain the personalized, "small town" approach even as our business and client base continues to grow. In fact, despite our size, AnyDate.com is one of the largest buyers of historic reprints from the New York Times!
Ultimately, success stems from our belief in the value our personalized gifts and products have -- as well as the knowledge that they make wonderful gifts for life's great occasions.
Meet Our Team
Michael Eglash, Founder and Director of Sales
Michael grew up in Milwaukee watching the Green Bay Packers and playing football with the neighborhood kids in the frozen tundra of Wisconsin. An avid sports card collector, Michael has amassed tens of thousands of cards including many NFL, MLB and NBA Hall of Famers. His love of sports, history and cool collectables make Anydate.com more than a “job” for him -- its his passion. Michael graduated from college with a degree in American History while spending most of his time watching ESPN. Michael is always available to help you find the right gift for all occasions.
Eric Esses, Director of Marketing
Eric is not a huge sport fan in the way his other colleagues at AnyDate.com happen to be. Although he always loved to play football and baseball with friends on the block, he never developed a penchant for memorizing stats and all the players names from time immemorial. The “character fault” of not being a sports fanatic was probably a result of being from Houston, Texas where Bum Phillip’s Oilers (led by the gifted Earl Campbell) were denied a Super Bowl appearance due to a poor call in the infamous playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. And, unfortunately, the Astros never provided the fire to set Houston totally aflame either. However, it is important to note that the father of NY Yankee Chuck Knoblauch, the late Ray Knoblauch, was Eric’s high school home room teacher at Bellaire High School. History however, is something that Eric loves. He’s especially interested in the history of World War II and has traveled as far as Hiroshima, Japan to see “ground zero” as well as to Normandy, France to see Omaha Beach where the Allies landed on D-Day.
Norb Eglash, Chief Designer & Avid Blogger
Kevin Gruchala - New Media Relations
Norb Eglash has been a practicing artist over 60 years, beginning with wartime illustrations of the Allies vs Nazis. During school holiday periods he would freehand illustrations of Disney cartoon characters while his dad "peddled" them to his fellow office workers as gifts to their children. As a teenager, Norb learned life drawing at Milwaukee, Wisconsin's Layton School of Art. After high school graduation he entered the Art Education program at Milwaukee State Teachers' College. After his junior year he served 2 years in the Army and took advantage of the GI Bill and enrolled in the Applied Art BS program at the University of Wisconsin. Following his graduation he worked as a commercial, technical and graphic artist with various companies. For over 30 years he and his wife operated a creative graphic arts service.
Kevin was born and raised in the Chicago area and is a fan of the Chicago Bears and the Chicago White Soxs. As a graduate of Purdue University, Kevin is a big supporter of the Purdue Basketball and Football Teams and spent his undergrad years watching games from the student section and being a part of the Paint Crew. Aside from watching sports, Kevin enjoys playing soccer, tennis and golf. Sports aren’t they only passion Kevin has; he also enjoys history, politics, playing the violin, cars, geography and travel. Travel has brought Kevin to countries as close as Canada and as far as China, and he is always looking for more places to go.
